Dwayne pairs steel, brass & copper with a profusion of hand blown glass
The techniques of repousse and chasing date from antiquity and have been used widely with fine detailed work on copper.
Genuine stained glass construction with hand soldered joints. Came can treated in copper, brass, antique & Chrome finishes.
Hand-hammered metal sheets have been used since ancient times.
The artist's name is struck on every completed piece.
It takes 8 steps to make each cabochon.
Infinite choice of material.
With the passing of the last generation of glass craftsmen , the art of making and incorporating rosettes & cabochons in glass was lost to time.
During my many visits to the Netherlands I had the privilege of being able to restore and study authentic rosette work in great detail, where antiquity is well preserved and incorporated into modern life.
It took us more than 10 years to perfect this art form of the great glass craftsmen of the bygone era.
We think ourselves as stewards and keepers of the flame for the next generation of craftspeople.
